Our Story

Starting-up as a beacon of hope, resilience and struggle in the realm of local agricultural production amidst the crises and challenges facing Lebanon, the “Al-Mahabah (Charity) Cooperative” was born to manage and support domestic production.

Known by its trade name “Intajouna”, it emerged within the framework of the Social Enterprise department of Caritas Lebanon.

Through the tremendous and inspiring efforts of its leaders and staff, Intajouna plays a key role in empowering farmers and local associations by purchasing raw materials from them, thereby enhancing their production capabilities, securing financial income, and supporting agriculture on one hand, and encouraging local consumption on the other.

It also supports civil society institutions by marketing or purchasing their products for resale, thus fostering developmental collaborations with associations, groups and cooperatives, facilitating agricultural and productive exchanges.

In summary, the “Intajouna” initiative, whose entire proceeds go towards the charitable work at Caritas Lebanon and assisting those in need, encourage the traditional production of natural foods, and promotes sustainable growth, stability and self-sufficiency within remote areas. Actually, it aims to achieve various social objectives that constitute the comprehensive developmental vision of Caritas Lebanon.

تاريخنا

كرمز للأمل والصمود والنضال في حقل الإنتاج الزراعي المحلي في لبنان، تأسّست “تعاونية المحبة” لإدارة ودعم الإنتاج المحلي، وسط الأزمات والتحديات التي تواجهها البلاد. وهي تعمل تحت الاسم التجاري “إنتاجُنا”، ضمن دائرة المشاريع الاجتماعية في رابطة كاريتاس لبنان

من خلال الجهود الرائعة والمُلهِمة لقادتها وموظّفيها، تلعب “إنتاجُنا دورًا أساسيًا في تمكين المزارعين والجمعيات المحلية من خلال شراء المواد الخام منهم، ما يعزّز من قدرات إنتاجهم ويضمن لهم دخلاً ماليًا مُستداماً ويدعم القطاع الزراعي من جهة، ويشجّع على الاستهلاك المحلي من جهة أخرى

هذا وتدعم التعاونية مؤسسات المجتمع المدني من خلال تسويق أو شراء منتجاتها لإعادة بيعها، وبالتالي تعزيز التعاون التنموي مع الجمعيات والمجموعات والتعاونيات، وتسهيل التبادل الزراعي والإنتاجي. في المحصّلة، تساهم مبادرة “إنتاجُنا”، التي تعود كل عائداتها الى العمل الخيري في كاريتاس بهدف مساعدة المحتاجين، في تشجيع الإنتاج التقليدي للأغذية الطبيعية، وتعزيز النمو المستدام والاستقرار والاكتفاء الذاتي في المناطق النائية، وهي بالتالي  تهدف إلى تحقيق أهداف اجتماعية مختلفة تشكّل الرؤية التنموية الشاملة لكاريتاس لبنان.
